The growth stage is a peculiar moment in a company's life. The product has found its market, revenue is accelerating, and the team is expanding. But the decision-making structures that worked when three people sat around the same table start producing friction when the organisation has twenty people spread across multiple functions. The founder's intuition, once the company's greatest asset, becomes a bottleneck.
At PR_D_CT DAY 2025 in Louvain-la-Neuve, Pierre-Olivier Danhaive, CEO of Verbolia, took the stage at Martin's Agora to share the honest story of what growth-stage product management looks like from the inside. Verbolia, a Belgian SaaS company specialising in SEO automation for e-commerce, has lived through this transition and carries the scars to prove it.
For the Francophone product community gathered in Wallonia, Pierre-Olivier's talk was a mirror. Many attendees work at companies in exactly this phase, where the product works but the organisation around it has not yet caught up. His candour about what went wrong made the practical advice that followed all the more credible.
