Why we started.
The Product Consortium started because Belgium needed a space for product people to connect without the sales pitches. We were tired of events that felt more like vendor showcases than real learning opportunities.
Every quarter, we host an in-person gathering in Brussels, Ghent, or Antwerp. Two speakers share their real experiences: the messy parts, the lessons learned, the actual challenges of building products. Then we discuss, connect, and learn from each other over drinks and food.
We rotate between host venues: offices of companies with strong product teams like Teamleader, dualoop, and Henchman. The goal is simple: create a space where product managers, designers, and founders can be honest about their work.
Bjorn Vuylsteker
Bjorn started The Product Consortium in 2023 after years of working in product roles across Belgian tech companies. He saw a gap: product people needed a place to connect and learn without the noise of sales pitches and vendor events.
As a product strategist, Bjorn believes the best lessons come from honest conversations about what actually happened, not polished case studies. TPC is his way of building that space for the Belgian product community.
